Below is my husband, Jeremy's words:
"My father-in-law Matt Stumm Sr, was a great man of God, close friend, and one of the most genuine and loving people I've ever met. He touched and blessed my life and family in more ways than I could ever express. I think about and miss him every day. I'm so thankful to have known him for the nearly ten years I was part of the Stumm "family" before he passed and I am looking forward with great expectation of seeing my second dad again someday in glory. This walk is in honor of him and the way he lived his life in humbleness, love, and most importantly great purpose for God; you will never be forgotten. Love you always Matt!"
Please visit the link and donate or sign up to walk with our team " Joggin' for the Noggin' "!

Swarthmore
What a change it has been living in Swarthmore. It is beautiful and quiet and friendly. Swarthmore is covered with trees and greenery which makes it not only beautiful to look at but makes it seem as though it is set far apart from all other parts of Delaware County. In the short time that we have been here I have LOVED watching the trees turn in the autumn air.
I look forward to many seasons over many years here in our new place in Swarthmore!

Nathan has 2 Birthdays!
Four days ago, August 18, 2011, the family went to Jeremy Jr.'s football practice as we do each week night.
As most of you who live in our area know, it has been raining practically everyday. So while at practice last Thursday as we sat watching practice with Nathan and Aaron playing, you could see the rain storm coming in the distance. In the busyness of the couches running around trying to decide if they are going to cancel practice my attention was drawn to Nathan sitting in front of me playing in his own little world. With a battle cry I heard him say several times as he looked to the darkening sky, "we are not going to be saved, we don't have Jesus in our heart!"
Well I listened for a little bit more, smiled, and sat enjoying the warmth a mother feels for her children. Then of course I had to take the opportunity to talk with Nathan about salvation. I asked if he had ever asked Jesus to be a part of his life. Jeremy and I explained what it meant to do so and how you would do so.
We are all sinners - Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."
The penalty for sin is death! - Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Christ sent His son to die for our sin and paid that penalty so we did not have too! - John 3:16 "God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Accept that you are a sinner
Believe that Jesus is God's son and that He died for you.
Confess your sin and ask Jesus Christ to be a part of your life!
That is exactly what Nathan did. Jeremy and I had the awesome opportunity to pray with our son last Thursday on the sideline of football practice as he excepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior! How stinkin' awesome is that!
Happy Spiritual Birthday Nathan! 8/18/2011
